    Природне поновлення бука лісового в національному природному парку «Північне Поділля»

    У ході дослідження вивчено стан та успішність природного поновлення бука лісового (Fagus sylvatica L.) у букових деревостанах НПП «Північне Поділля» на північно-східній межі ареалу виду в Україні. За методикою проф. М. М. Горшеніна закладено 75 облікових площадок і встановлено, що кількість підросту бука суттєво відрізняється між ділянками: від 0,65 тис. шт./га (ПП3, оцінка – незадовільне) до 13,84 тис. шт./га (ПП1, оцінка – добре). Виявлено, що успішність поновлення позитивно пов'язана з меншою зімкнутістю намету та зниженим проективним вкриттям трав'яного покриву. Значний стримуючий вплив на підріст здійснює козуля європейська (Capreolus capreolus L.). Розроблено рекомендації щодо сприяння природному поновленню для адміністрації НПП «Північне Поділля» та суміжних лісокористувачів. The study examined the condition and success of natural regeneration of European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) in beech stands of Northern Podillia National Nature Park, located at the northeastern boundary of the species' range in Ukraine. Using the method of Prof. M. M. Horshenin, 75 sample plots were established. The number of beech undergrowth varied significantly between study sites: from 0.65 thousand individuals per hectare (PP3, rated as unsatisfactory) to 13.84 thousand individuals per hectare (PP1, rated as good). Regeneration success was found to be positively associated with lower canopy closure and reduced projective cover of ground vegetation. Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus L.) exert a considerable suppressive effect on undergrowth survival. Recommendations for promoting natural regeneration are provided for the administration of Northern Podillia NNP and adjacent forest users.
